Hi, I am Ghosia and just like some other people I also use the calculator on my iPhone. I often forget calculations, but the calculator memory is cleared after a new calculation. So, we have got just the solution to this problem.

How To Check The Calculator History On An iPhone?

There is no option to store and check your old history on the iPhone calculator application. Unfortunately, you can’t access your previous calculations. Using an iPhone calculator erases the previously calculated results when you make a new calculation. But there are some ways to view some of your calculations. Keep on going to find out how.

Methods Of Checking Calculations On iPhone 

There are some methods used to make it possible to check the history of your calculations. What are these methods? Just follow the detailed instructions below 

First Method: Copy The Last Result Feature

This method lets you view and copy your previous result using the app shortcut on your phone. Using this method you can copy and save your last calculation. The process is written below;

  •  Locate the Calculator app icon on your iPhone.
  • Tap and hold on to the calculator app.
  • Select Copy Last Result.
  • The last result is copied to the clipboard.
  • That is how you can copy9 your last calculation. 
  • Paste/save wherever you like.

Second Method: Memory Recall

In this method, you store results and type numbers from your present calculation to the calculator’s memory. This will help to reuse previous calculations as you would on other calculators.

Below the method of how to use the memory function to check previous calculations is mentioned:

  • Open the calculator app
  •  calculate an equation
  • Now switch the device to landscape mode
  • A scientific calculator will appear
  • Find m +( memory add)button
  • tap m+ (memory) to store the current result 
  • Continue  calculating 
  • Now use the mr( memory recall) option to see the previous calculation stored in the memory. 

Memory Functions Of a Calculator

You probably didn’t know about these memory functions of a calculator. That is why we are here to help you. Get to know more memory functions existing in your calculator 

mr: Memory Recall

Using memory recall you can get the previous calculation that you have calculated 

mc: Memory Clear

This function is used to delete and clear the calculator’s memory.

m+: Memory Add

This allows you to add the previous calculation to the current calculation number and store it in calculator memory.

m-: Memory Subtract

Like the m+ to plus previous and current calculation, this will subtract. It is used to subtract/ minus calculations.

Third Method: App Store Calculators

Download another calculator app to access your calculator history on iPhones. While the iOS calculator app does not offer to store your history. I have also downloaded another calculator on my iPhone to use these functions I have mentioned above

Final Method: Screen Recording Or Screenshot 

This is an optional way to store your calculation. Otherwise, I am not fond of this method but still, you should know all about how you can check Calculator history. This method isn’t used to check history but it can be used to store and view later whenever you want.

Screen recording 

This is another way to store your past calculations. It is a great alternative if you’re looking for backup profs. 

  • Access your Control Center
  • Find screen recording options 
  • tap the Screen Recording icon 

Activate your Screen recording while calculating. Once you are done, quit and store.

U can use the screenshot feature to save the calculation. To take a screenshot press the home key and the volume key together.

Now you can go to the Photos on your iPhone and view the screen recording and screenshot of your calculations.
